Welcome to a lecture with Ingegerd Råman, one of our most prominent potters and glass designers. The conversation revolves around ceramics - the material, the process and the slow craftsmanship that lies behind each item. With curiosity as a driving force, Råman talks about how ideas emerge in the encounter between hand, material and time. Craft is at the heart, but also the importance of constantly exploring new expressions, contexts and the importance of collaborations. During the lecture we will present the new Vandalorum pot, developed in collaboration with Nittsjö Keramik in Dalarna, where traditional crafts meet contemporary form.
Ingegerd Råman has been awarded the title of professor by the Swedish government, the Prince Eugen Medal by H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf and the award Excellent Swedish Form on several occasions. Her work is represented in museums worldwide.
Lunch will be served from 11.20am, the lecture will start at 12.00pm
