Welcome to a lunch talk between Aalto collector Pertti Männistö and museum director Elna Svenle. Over the decades, Männistö has built an extensive collection—the largest private one in the world—of furniture, glassware, textiles, and lighting designed by Aino Marsio-Aalto and Alvar Aalto.

Männistö’s collection focuses on objects from 1920–1960, as products during that period were still primarily handcrafted. After the lecture, Männistö will be signing his book Aalto DesignCollection, a catalog of Männistö’s Aalto collection, which consists of more than a thousand objects, ranging from world-famous classics to true rarities.

‍
Lunch is served from 11.20 am, and the lecture begins at 12.00 pm.
