Welcome to Vandalorum for a 2-day course in oil painting for adults led by artist Patritsiia Tatsii (b. 1991).

During the course we work step by step with oil painting — from the first sketch to the finished work. You will receive individual supervision throughout the process. The course is suitable for both beginners and those with experience in oil painting.

We go through:

• How to Build a painting from scratch

• Color mixing, palette selection and material handling

• Lighting and shadows to create depth

• Techniques for working layer upon layer (“layering”) in oil

• How to finish and sign your work

The goal is for you to develop both your technique and your personal expression.
