Emma Krantz has been working as a photographer and artist for 25 years. In her artistic process, she explores one and the same motif over a longer period, where time and the changing nature of light become a supporting part of the works. Krantz uses himself as a model and the home as a fund for his playful and experimental work with light and shadow. Her visual world brings to mind artists such as Edward Hopper and Ola Billgren, where the solitary man meets his own shadow. Krantz also has a background in psychology and her sensitivity to the inner life of the human being forms the basis for her entire oeuvre.
Emma Krantz (b. 1972, Växjö) is a trained photographer at the Nordic School of Photography Biskops-Arnö and in psychology and art science at Lund University. She has previously exhibited at Gallery Ping-Pong in Malmö, Alvesta Konsthall, Elin Wägner's Lilla Björka and Kulturen in Lund. In 2020, she published the art book "About the thin line in between". Krantz now lives and works in Malmö.
